Overview

The Experience
For some, one adventure per vacation just doesn't cut it... so why settle for just one? Holiday Expeditions offers up exciting Utah multisport adventures to give you perspective of all the diverse landscapes and adventurescapes. Spend two to three days with the high desert breeze whistling past your ears, and the vision of the Colorado River Plateau over your handle bars. Then on the left bank, in the middle of nowhere, step onto a raft for two to five days of riding the forces that carved steep and deep canyons out of solid rock.

Three of the most popular rafting expeditions can be combined seamlessly with two or three days of biking. May and September is the time to bike in the desert of Canyonlands. In May, rafting through Cataract means high water and high adventure. September in Cataract brings sand bar camps, fewer folks, and ideal weather known locally as Indian summer. When the mercury climbs Holiday Expeditions offers June trips further north in Dinosaur’s Yampa Bench country, and during the heat of the summer, you will enjoy the cool temperatures found 8,000 feet up in the La Sal mountains near Moab. The bike trails are suitable for the athletic-beginner to the experienced rider. The rafting adventures combined with these bike trips follow similar itineraries as the respective raft-only trips.

Unforgettable Vacations
Whether your interest lies in raging whitewater, mountain biking through stunning high desert terrain, riding horses through aspen groves, learning more about the natural and human history of the West, or combining several adventures into one vacation, Holiday Expeditions can satisfy your hunger.

For decades, Holiday’s expertise has been sought by people from all walks of life: family groups that strengthen their bonds while bucking the whitewater; business groups looking for a team building experience; singles looking for adventure with a group; and those who hit mid-life in full stride and want to get back to the outdoors to learn more about geology, natural history and themselves. Today Holiday continues to offer a variety of trips founded on excellent service, a reverence for the environment and a love of being out in the open and sharing it with others.
